We're Eve & Jodie, the founders and dreamers behind Being Well Collective.
What we don't have in common, isn't worth sharing.
Both growing up in South West Victoria, ambitious, goal-orientated and driven, we pursued careers in healthcare, motivated by a strong desire to help others and contribute to our community. With almost six decades of experience between us working as healthcare professionals, we've ridden the highs and lows of what it means to give of yourself in order to ease the burden of others.
As women in healthcare, we have worked tirelessly to obtain the holy grail of work life balance. Having experienced the endless demand on healthcare professionals over recent years, we have both sought solutions to prioritise our own health to ensure we continue to have sustainable careers providing care to others.
We always suspected there were other ways to help, to reach more humans at once with tangible messages of health and wellbeing, outside of the clinical setting. In the beginning we both chose to retreat. In fact, it was in Bali 2019, whilst on a retreat that we began a conversation that developed into a dream of another way of working.
Over the following years that saw the world come to a sudden halt, Being Well Collective became a reality and we decided to give it everything we had.
Being ever efficient, we have engaged our strengths to make a formidable partnership, combining Eve's business and leadership experience and Jodie's knowledge as a Clinical & Health Psychologist and experience delivering wellbeing programs. We have both also undertaken a post graduate Diploma to become Positive Psychology Practitioners which enhances the programs we offer.
It is with great pride, that after 18 months of development that Being Well Collective retreats, Being Well @ Work and The Humanness of Being Well podcast, are ready to be shared with the world.
We are so looking forward to making you a part of our story too.

Meet Dr Jodie Fleming
Hello,
I'm Jodie and I'm a recovering perfectionist. I used to be driven by to-do lists and Five-Year Plans, writing my first one when I was only twelve years old! It wasn't until my thirties that I became aware of just how short-lived the sense of reward or satisfaction was after achieving my goals, noticing that I'd always be setting and chasing more and more goals in the search for something fulfilling.
Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36, I was forced to start looking at the way I'd been living my life. What I came to learn was that I needed to stop asking myself what I wanted to do with my life, and instead, begin asking how I wanted to feel. The answers? I choose to feel connected, purposeful, flourishing and serene.
From that turning point, I chose to change many things, including the way I was working. For too long, psychology has focussed on deficits and problems to 'fix' and I was ready for change. Instead of working solely as a clinical and health psychologist, I decided to shift focus and work from a strengths-based wellbeing focus instead. Now I'm able to share easy-to-learn, simple-to-implement strategies from positive psychology with individuals, groups and communities alike in a role that truly feels like a calling, not just a job.
And the most fulfilling change of all came from the choice to lead wellness retreats and enter the world of workplace wellbeing. What helps me to flourish is connecting with others, human to human, sharing my experiences and practices, from gratitude to grit, mindset to mindfulness, kindness to compassion, so that others can choose to flourish too.
Meet Eve Drew
Hi there!
I’m Eve, a reformed people pleaser who spent too many years attaching my self-worth to what I was achieving. I jumped from goal to goal & had a never ending ‘to-do’ list - failing to savour the wins or slow down enough to enjoy the wonderful moments along the way.
I had become so busy working, running by business and caring for everyone else, that I had completely abandoned my own needs and was living on autopilot.
This led to overwhelm and burnout and prompted me to slow down and consider what I truly wanted in my life. I needed to change the way I was living and working to ensure my career was sustainable and I remained well.
I now make decisions based upon how I want to feel and be each day, rather than what I want to achieve and this conscious shift has changed my life more than I could have ever imagined. It has allowed me to live a more intentional, calm and balanced life, and has helped me to rediscover my purpose and create a life that I love.
I no longer wear ‘busyness’ as a badge of honour and have made changes to the way that I work (and live) to ensure I can live my life feeling connected, kind, inspired and calm.
Over the past 20 years working as a health professional, leader and business owner, my curiosity around how we can flourish as humans has prompted me to complete a post graduate Diploma in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing and now undertake a Masters of Business (Organisational) Psychology.
It is such a privilege to now share this knowledge with others through our retreats, Being Well @ Work workshops and online courses.
We've been where you are and know what it feels like to feel overwhelmed exhausted and burnt-out.
Talk about being on the To-Do List loop, jumping from one achievement to the next without taking time to savour the satisfaction and sense of reward that should come from reaching a goal.
We know what it is like to be so busy DOING that we had forgotten the vital importance of focussing on BEING.
Our Mission is to help other humans step-out of autopilot, step-off the treadmill of busyness and to reconnect with whatever you refer to it as, your ‘why’ or your ‘Ikigai’, no matter the name, to us it is your meaning, your purpose, and we are here to help you to rediscover it and live a life where you flourish; a life you love.
